Tufts is a private university with three campuses in Massachusetts (Boston, Medford/Somerville and Grafton) and in Talloires, France.

Tufts has programs in liberal arts, sciences, engineering, medical and dental schools. It also has a veterinary medicine school, the only one in New England.

Over 9,200 students attend Tufts from over 100 countries. The school says 98% of students expect to enroll in graduate or professional study.

Tuition for 2010-11 is $40,664 and room and board is $11,000.

Charles Tufts founded the university in 1852. He donated 20 acres of land that the school now occupies in Medford.

Benefits and Perks

Tufts offers generous time off with three to four weeks of vacation and a substantial bank of sick days from the time you begin employment. Employees also receive thirteen paid holidays and two personal days per year.
