Tufts is a private university with three
campuses in Massachusetts (Boston, Medford/Somerville and Grafton)
and in Talloires, France.
Tufts has programs in liberal arts, sciences,
engineering, medical and dental schools. It also has a veterinary
medicine school, the only one in New England.
Over 9,200 students attend Tufts from over 100 countries. The school says 98% of students expect to enroll in graduate or professional study.
Tuition for 2010-11 is $40,664 and room and board is $11,000.
Charles Tufts founded the university in
1852. He donated 20 acres of land that the school now occupies
in Medford.
